May Hero of the Month

Picture
_Johann Sebastian Bach was one of the great musical geniuses of his era.  As the music leader at the St. Thomas Church in Liepzig, Bach served faithfully and diligently to make the most of God's glory through music.  His simple daily prayer to God perhaps best exemplifies his view of life - "You have blessed my music, may my music bless you.”  We are studying the life of JS Bach in May.

Oikos - May Schedule

  • Preaching/Teaching - In the month of May, we are working through the book of Revelation and 1 Peter during our Sunday services.  Oikos studies books exegetically and labors verse-by-verse to behold God's truth.
  • May 6th - Oikos Spring Picnic at Homestead Park in Hilliard - Noon at the Pine Shelter.
  • May 13th - Oikos Mother's Day Celebration.
  • May 20th - Men's Group - We will be studying Voddie Baucham's newest book, "Family Shepherds: Calling and Equipping Men to Lead Their Homes".  This once a month meeting at ITT Hilliard following the service will include men of 12 years and older.  Derived from Baucham’s monthly meetings with men in his church, "Family Shepherds" calls men to accountability for their God-given responsibilities in their homes. Baucham’s clear style and practical approach will spur men to protect their marriage, raise kingdom-minded children, value the synergy between church and home, and navigate difficult family dynamics.
  • May 27th - Oikos sermon on God's view of work.  What does it mean to have a family economy?
  • May 30th  - Genesis of a Legacy Bible Study - This is our monthly Bible Study being held in Grove City. Written by Ken and Steve Ham, this engaging study is helping us to learn about how to leave a lasting spiritual legacy for those that follow us.
  • Upcoming Events - Creationism Sunday,  Father Son Campout, Oikos September Retreat in Berlin, Ohio.
